Barış Özten was born in 1986 in Ankara, Turkey. His interest in painting at a young age gained a dimension in his later years and turned to sculpture and theater. Art, forms, and aesthetic values have taken place in his life since his childhood.
He studied interior architecture at the university and graduated with a 2nd degree. After working as an interior designer for 3 years, he started to concentrate on product design.
In 2016, he established his own design and production office, Morfoz Design. While making his works, he reversed the production-to-consumption cycle to a consumption-to-production and preferred waste materials as the only increasing resource in the world. Thus, by giving a second chance to waste materials, it aimed to produce new products and artifacts from them.
